The question of “do you get many Mexicans eating there?” was met with a slightly confused silence on more than one occasion so don’t expect either of the two recommended options to be full of El Tri fans. However, there will plenty of authentic food and a wide selection of tequila available. Crazy Homies in Westbourne Park has two 50-inch screens and will stay open late if there is demand. They only serve Mexican beers which you can use to wash down tacos, tostadas and enchiladas and, reassuringly, I was told that “a mexican kid” works there.

The other option is Barrio Central, a cocktail bar which will be showing games on two TVs and one projector. Barrio is a chain (this branch is in Soho) and there are two others in London; Barrio East on Shoreditch High Street and Barrio North on Essex Road in Islington.  All three bars will show “every minute of every game.”

  1. Barrio central is a decent latin american bar with good food options although it was difficult in the Brazil Mexico game to work out who was the more supported team. Booking essential but only one large & one small screen so you could be straining. 7/10
